Different Types of Custody

Joint Physical Custody: Children that split their time between two parents' homes are considered to be under a joint physical custody order.

Visitation: When a parent has no custodial rights, or isn't granted any for some reason, they may be granted visitation. This allows the parent alone or supervised time with the child in order to maintain a relationship.

Modification of Child Custody Orders
