If you want to try to work out the issues surrounding your divorce without going to court, we can help. Rickey is a lawyer who is trained in divorce mediation and certified in collaborative law. For spouses who want to work together to resolve issues such as property division and alimony, mediation may be the answer. Both husband and wife can also each hire an attorney who is trained in collaborative law and vow to work out a marriage dissolution settlement without going to court. Mediation and collaborative law can be a less expensive, less stressful, and quicker means of resolving a family law dispute.
Going to Family Court
However, we understand that not all divorce issues and family law disputes can be resolved through mediation or collaboration. In those cases, attorney Ament is fully prepared to represent your interests in traditional litigation of disputes regarding child custody and visitation, and post-divorce changes in custody, child support or property division. We also help couples and individuals build their family through adoption, and represent parents in paternity actions to establish the legal father of a child born outside marriage. Our attorney also prepares and reviews prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements for clients about to get married or that are already married.
Real Estate Cases
In our real estate practice, we represent both commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions that deal with real property — land and the structures attached to it.
